Stop overthinking
Dear Creative Soul,
When you are constantly thinking about a creative project, you arenāt creating. You are distracting yourself from creating with your thoughts.
In a way, overthinking poisons your creativity like a snake bite does a human body.
Your brain loves to mull over things, your creativity just wants to bring ideas, even half-baked ones, into the world.
Your creativity wants to dream, your brain wants to smash that dream to pieces, using past ālessonsā as a hammer.
Your creativity, in short, just wants to play.
Decide, that all you have is this moment. What does your creativity want to do with this moment?
I bet it's not mulling over things.
Creativity is action.
Mulling things over is procrastination, usually caused by one thing.
And that thing is fear.
Isn't it about time to kick fear in the butt? To show it its place and create despite its constant chatter?
What do you create in this one single awesome moment right in front of you?
Create on!
Sylvia
