3 Good Things, an exercise in joy
3 Good Things (#3goodthings) is a hashtag on Mastodon that I've participated in for a long time. I can't look back at how long because I changed servers :)
It's a challenge to each day post three things that are good in your life or that you are grateful for.
I love writing those lists. I usually don't want to write them when I feel like shit though, and that's just the moment when I need to force myself to write them.
Feeling grateful for something is so healing, and that is why, now I'm feeling a lot better, I'm feeling like writing these lists again.
And I want to keep writing them, even if I get all wobbly again when memories weigh me down. I may even put a sticker on my laptop to remind me to make the lists.
So I want to write the three good things lists daily, on my Mastodon, and if I feel something about writing them, I will hop on this blog, because I've decided that this blog is where I just open my heart and let whatever I feel come out in words.
Here is my list for today, I will repost it on Mastodon (https://social.lol/@sylvia) as a reply to this post.
- I went to the shopping centre today, even while the humidity was bad, and I had such a good time. Yes, my energy was low, but that didn't keep me from getting a haircut and doing a bit of shopping :)
- I'm on my bed, because I'm worn out from #1, and my cat has been sleeping next to me all the time, rolling around in poses that are so cute I constantly focus on him instead of my writing.
- I've rediscovered so many creative ideas that I can't choose what to start on next, but all ideas are so much fun!
