A letter from Santa

Dear one,

Do you remember when you were just a little bean? It was when you still believed in me.

Your little self believed in magic, the power of hugs and in the power of limitless giggles.

Then you started to grow up, and the belief in magic started to fade as the pain of life started to stack up inside of you.

I can see the child in you still shine in your eyes, though.

I can see that little self in the mischief and the wit that is so essentially you.

I can see the child beam when creativity pours out of you.

I can see your hands create beauty in a way that brings tears to this old man's eyes.

Sometimes you give up hope, though.

It is in these times, that you need to remember that life is magical.

Even in the depth of winter, magic is present in abundance. Every snowflake that falls is unique and magical.

Feel your joy, sweetheart. It’s truly ok to dance once in a while, no matter where you are.

I have noticed that you’ve started to smile at times, just for the joy of being alive. Do that more often.

It's more than okay to feel joy.

It’s more than okay to feel love in abundance.

It’s such a gift to just spread love, including to yourself. All of yourself, not just the parts that you show to the outside world, but to your depth too, your emotions, all the colours of the rainbow that you are such an integral part of.

Teach yourself that there is no greater joy than creating. Teach yourself that there is no limit to what you can create, you have all that you need to bring everything you can imagine into the world.

Take it from an old, wise man, the older you get, the more you realise that your greatest joy is to be one with the child inside of you. Don't waste another day, sweetheart.

Make the world a better, warmer, loving, more joyful place.

You can do it.

Remember, even a smile can make someone's day.

With a big hug,

Santa
