Small Web July
Thanks to Annie I found out about Small Web July and I love it. For Small Web July you are invited to spend less time on the corporate web for the month of July, and I intend to do just that.
Here are my personal guidelines:
* Do my best to find other small web blogs add to my reader.
* Interact more on Mastodon. Share about my work and what I find in my online travels.
* Blog daily. Write about great things I’ve discovered and learned. * Dive deep into all the new-ish things in CSS and HTML. Make something cool for my blog as a result.
* Do the Javascript course and tinker together something for my blog.
* Follow my favourite YouTube channels via my RSS reader, and watch through there, instead of on the distraction riddled YouTube page. * Go out for walks every day (if possible), as it often triggers thoughts I want to write about, and I could take my camera and photograph my little adventures for my blog.
Because I know myself, I will allow for fifteen minutes or so of cheat time each day. I can use this for reading cycling posts on Bluesky for instance (because Tour de France).
This is a very tentative list, and I will definitely add new things later.
I'm excited for this challenge!
