Spring

My favourite season is spring
Flowers burst from the earth in joy
Trees dress in the brightest green

Birds sing the days awake
Children play in the street outside
Their laughter brightens my day

My heart slowly exhales, releases
The darkness of winter, i close my eyes
Wind blows the last clouds from my mind
