Ten things I'm grateful for
Every day, or most of them, I write a list of three things I'm grateful for in my little notebook. It's such a healing practice, and it focuses you on the smaller things, as you run out of the big things so fast.
Writing what I'm grateful for always refocuses me on what brings me joy, and it always makes me smile.
And most of the time I think I don't have anything to add to the list, and every time I start writing and have something.
- My husband
- The cat sleeping on my foot.
- The heated blanket underneath me, warming me on this cold, cold night
- Sore muscles, telling me I did good at PT yesterday
- The book I finished reading just now, just so heartwarming it makes me smile
- the soft jazz music playing in the background
- My quick tidying session earlier, it always makes the room feel lighter when I do that.
- The bath I had earlier, so soothing!
- Sending a gift to a friend, such a joy always!
- You!
I wrote this list so quick, and I bet I could write an endless list, just because the habit is so ingrained.
