The joy of quick sketches

One of the greatest creative joys these days is that I have started using my pen and paper sketchbook again. 

I'm mostly doodling animals I saw at the zoo a week ago. 

And I love it. These couple minutes sketching are the best part of my day sometimes. 

And I don't mind failing. I've started a doodle of my husband and the first was awful, the second a little less so. And that's fun too!

I find that nowadays I don't care about perfect anyway. I care about doing. 

I care about the feeling that I get when I hold that pen.
