Week 35 2025
🗓️ 25 to 31 August
(As I didn’t post my week notes for week 34, there are some older blog posts linked)
- I've decided not to share every blog post I write in my weeknotes, just share some highlights. If you want to read the rest, head to the home page, or subscribe via email using the handy dandy thingie below this post.
- I headed out for coffee on Tuesday, and jotted down some ideas for my novel. I really love that I’ve solved a scene that plagued me for over a week!
- I’ve spent most of the week(s) on my old/new website (old because the code is from 2004, new because I’m using it to design my website now.
- I love how Gobino encourages us to share our everyday life. I agree with him wholeheartedly.
- I wrote a poem about letting go, and it helped me so much.
- Really happy with the response to this post: Why I love to read your blog, I've received several emails with websites to follow. (if you didn't know, Pagecord allows responding via email, via the nifty button next to the little heart)
- Avatar the last Airbender was just fantastic. I will miss those characters.
- We started watching the sequel, the Legend of Korra, and it made me very emotional because... spoilers.
- I’ve added my oracle to the site! And old blog posts! I will probably put it live next week.
- David of Forking Mad fame reminds us that we don’t need to add images anymore. Gods the hours I spent on unsplash or suchlike to find the ideal image. No more!
- As I can truly appreciate some pen nerdery, I loved this post by Thomas Rigby about highlighters.
- Still watching Pokerface, and watched my favourite episode of the season so far. I loved John Cho's character! And the plot twists in that episode. Perfect.
- Not so perfect: Star Trek Strange New Worlds. It actually makes me wonder if they've fired all of the writer's room, and set a computer in the room with an LLM spewing out scripts. Last week's episode was definitely the worst.
- This post is a perfect reflection on why I love Pagecord so much (and why I always trust that new posts will write themselves.
- I really love the new version of Tot, but need to get used to buttons not being where I expect them to be. But it’s so neat. I keep my Weeknotes in there until I export them. And quotes to add to my commonplace book, and I use it to jot down quick ideas to put elsewhere eventually.
- I’ve finished designing a font. It’s really cute and weird.
- I’m very addicted to caramel cookies. I keep telling myself that they are kinda good because they contain protein 😃
- Annie knocked it out of the park(s) with this post on turning everything into a ritual
- Phillip wrote some excellent Privacy and Security Tips for the Average Person
- I haven't finished a book this week. I've been so focused on my website. Which is a good thing. Also a good thing: I'm close to finishing reading two so next week I will have a more positive outcome, I'm sure.
