On Noodling

A couple of weeks ago I read a post by someone who talked about noodling around with music.

That term stuck in my mind. Then I discovered this platform, wrote the first post and Noodling Nook kinda stuck in my brain.

I wanted to make it the name of my blog, and now, it is!

Here is a description of noodling from the Cambridge dictionary on noodling.

noodle
to play a musical instrument in an informal manner without any planning or preparation.

I'm stealing it for playing with words, with ideas, with thoughts.

The funny thing is, I already have a blog. It's Sylvia's Studio. (note: this is now my website)

But I kinda like this better. I haven't posted there in weeks, not since starting this one and opening up about my negative thought spirals.

This is one of the ways I'm more open here, more myself. I think that staring at a blogging window, or thinking about placement of images, or pondering what tags to place or whatever is keeping me from being more in the flow.

I share most posts to this blog via my email app. When I click on send email, all I have is the email window, I don't have a quadrillion tags ready to distract me.

All I have is me, and my Noodling Nook. Isn't that just brilliant?
