I haven't even started to write this blog post and I’m already smiling. It’s so funny how that works.

I don’t think there’s anything creative that makes me smile this way, I have some creative outlets that calm me down (so I can write), but none that light a spark in me.

And it’s time I honour that.

As I said in my about page, linked above, I haven’t really written anything substantial in the past five years. I wrote snippets, parts of stories that didn’t go anywhere, but I haven’t completed anything other than some half-baked blog posts that really need a good rewrite.

Creating this blog has made it so clear to me that this is what I’m meant to do from now on. Put the laughter, the joy, the glee back into my writing. To write what I really want to write, to write what makes me eager to sit behind the keyboard or in front of my journal twirling a pen in thought before writing.

And that last part? That’s probably going to be another post here.
