Weeknotes for week 28-2026

🗓️ 6 to 12 July

favourite thing this week

Waiting on a bench to be picked up and staring up into the leaves of a large tree, mesmerised with the sunlight playing with the leaves.

writing

  • I have finished edits on a mini journalling workshop, still struggling with turning it into an ebook. Now I only need to make a printable for it. Will probably publish it this week.
  • Edited another journalling ebook on paper, which is perfect because processing the edits seems like a good thing to do in this week’s heatwave.

blogging

blog posts in the pipeline

  • A new dear creative soul letter
  • on de-digitalising
  • my new note taking system, follow up to the notepad post linked above
  • A post about my love for the Tour de France, planned for Tuesday.
  • embracing imperfection

creating

  • my fingerless gloves are such a joy to knit. Really helps that I know the pattern by heart so I can just keep going.
  • Have painted beads this week and it was so much fun!

  • a Sunday morning sitting on the sofa, curtains closed, watching a program about pro cycling while eating breakfast, such a perfect moment.

blog posts I’ve enjoyed reading

something I’ve enjoyed using this week

My new tiny camera, a Kodak Charmera. I love it so much for being imperfect (hence the blog post idea above)

something that I’m grateful for

Starting the weeknotes again. I really love to work on this all week, adding small snippets of life throughout the day and then adding the last bits on Monday.

from my commonplace book

The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.

~ Albert Camus
