Writing log for week 30-2025

Uploaded image

I wrote about writing logs in a post earlier this week, and now it's time to post my first writing log for the week! Writing was part of my Weeknotes, but it makes much more sense to keep it here on Fridays.

I've worked on

  • Most of my writing time this week was spent editing and updating old blog posts
  • I've also started edits for the first two chapters of the novel I most wanted to work on
  • I wrote all blog posts for the week
  • I'm also starting to work on writing short stories for a collection, pondering ideas at least.

I've read

I listened to the Creative Act by Rick Rubin. This is my third time listening to it, and every time I get something new out of it.

I've learned

I'm STILL a fiction writer. Fiction writing was far from my brain for over a year, and I'm so happy to have it back.

Insights after writing this week

There's a special thing that happens when I allow myself to focus on my writing, it's the flow state, I guess, where everything just connects and everything makes sense. It's perfect!

PS the image above the page was made for me on Fiverr years ago and I've only recently rediscovered it. I figured it fits with the series :)
